Honoring Our Inter-connectedness

“When we try to pick out anything by itself,
we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.”

-John Muir

So how does our natural world align perfectly with our consciousness?

There is no question of the relationship between our internal and external worlds. In reality, they are part of the same coin. As hard as our society tries to promote duality and individuality, actually succeeding in separating ourselves from the physical world is just not feasible. It is physically impossible according to the laws of the universe. We are inherently and inescapably entrenched in our physical world. Our very being, our very consciousness, is inseparable from the whole, and for this reason, it is a wise investment to shape our personal and societal lifestyles to obey this law.

We need to realize that “separation” itself is an illusion; we are all forever intertwined with and dependent on the natural world for every moment of our lives. We are composed of atoms older than we can comprehend and, in my opinion, consciousness that exceeds time altogether. When we realize that, in the scheme of all of this, separation is only a confabulation brought about by our own minds, we can take refuge in each other, our physical world, and ourselves. This is a very freeing realization and one that has profound intra- and inter-personal implications. It is the foundation for a shift in consciousness and a change in paradigm.

By grounding our society in a model of unity rather than individuality and interconnectedness rather than separation, we are on the path to awakening. We are in position to listen to our natural world and shape our societal models accordingly. Riding the wave instead of opposing it.

Personal awakening, societal awakening, and environmental/social well-being are all intimately connected. As we acknowledge and address faults in one area, we are also acknowledging faults in the others. These are the points FaceLife is addressing.

It’s time to wake up – while we can, because we can.
